Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process. This role involves collaboration with the healthcare team to uphold professional nursing standards and complies with hospital policies, mission, and practice guidelines. The RN is responsible for directing, coordinating, and delegating activities to promote patient and family-centered care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plan and implement nursing care based on the needs of the patient and family.
• Make appropriate interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assume personal responsibility for quality patient care and satisfaction, as well as for professional development.

Schedule Requirements:

• 4/12-hour shifts with the option for overtime after 48 hours or 3/12-hour shifts with overtime after 40 hours.
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• Certification in TNCC or ENPC is required.
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required.
• Active state license in Michigan at the time of submission.
