Job Description

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program and must possess a minimum of 2 years of recent Open-Heart experience. The Surgical Technologist will demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills and possess comprehensive knowledge of central processing and instrumentation.

In this role, the Surgical Technologist will be required to float and assist in General Surgery when CVOR volumes are low. The expected work schedule is 40 hours per week, with options of either four (4) 10-hour days or five (5) 8-hour shifts (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) based on the preferences of the individual. Additionally, the Surgical Technologist will participate in call duty, taking at least 2-3 days of call per week, depending on staffing levels. Weekend call will begin at the end of the Friday shift and continue through Monday morning until 7:00 AM. There may also be a holiday call rotation as required.
