Job Description

We are seeking a qualified CVOR Surgical Technologist with a focus on Open Heart procedures to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in surgical technology and a commitment to providing optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with open-heart surgeries, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
• Maintain knowledge of instrumentation and central processing.
• Float and assist in General Surgery when CVOR volumes are low.
• Participate in call rotation as required, including weekends and possible holidays.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Open-Heart surgical procedures.
• BLS certification required; CST certification preferred.
• Strong critical thinking skills and a thorough understanding of surgical instrumentation.

Work Schedule

The Surgical Technologist will work 40 hours per week, with options for four 10-hour days or five 8-hour shifts, based on the traveler’s preference.

Additional Requirements

• Availability for call duty at least 2-3 days per week, subject to staffing levels.
• Weekend call from the end of the Friday shift until Monday morning at 7 AM.
• Possible holiday call rotation based on the holiday schedule.
