Position Summary

The Sonographer performs imaging examinations on patients of all ages, from newborn to geriatric, contributing to the efficient operations of the department while ensuring quality and continuity of patient care. Utilizing their specific training in ultrasound technology, the Sonographer provides exceptional patient care and may perform receptionist or clerical duties as needed.

Position Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Sonography program or equivalent preferred.
• Current registration with ARDMS may be accepted in lieu of accredited graduation.
• Current ARDMS certification in either Abdomen or OB/GYN or equivalent required; multiple specialties preferred.
• Current BLS certification needed.
• A minimum of two years of post-graduation experience preferred.
• Ability to perform detailed fetal surveys preferred.
• GE ultrasound experience preferred.
• Trophon experience preferred.

Housing is not provided as private accommodations; all housing is arranged in shared units, and no pets are permitted. Airfare is the initial responsibility of the candidate or agency but will be reimbursed upon arrival. Candidates are required to provide flight itinerary information at least one week in advance to facilitate scheduling for New Employee Orientation and housing arrangements. New Employee Orientation occurs every Tuesday and Wednesday only. It is essential that all credentials are received and cleared before travel.
