Job Description

The Apheresis Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing care to patients undergoing apheresis procedures. This position is responsible for managing patient assessments, administering treatment, and monitoring patient progress throughout the apheresis process.

Schedule

This position primarily operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities during overnight and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform apheresis procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Document patient information and procedure outcomes accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about the apheresis process and post-procedure care.
• Respond to patient needs and medical emergencies during procedures.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in apheresis or related clinical settings is preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be preferred.
