Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) plays a pivotal role in delivering quality nursing care by utilizing the nursing process. The nurse will work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to uphold the highest standards of professional nursing practice. Responsibilities include adhering to established organizational policies, missions, and standards of practice as defined by regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in the OR setting.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to maintain professional nursing practice standards.
• Ensure adherence to medical center policies and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous Operating Room Circulating experience is required.
• PACU experience is preferred.
• Experience in Orthopedics, OB-GYN, and General surgery is required.
• Experience in Urology and Ophthalmic surgery is preferred.
• Prior travel experience is preferred.

Certification Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Licensing Requirements

• Active nursing license in the state of Michigan at the time of application.

• Dress Code: Hospital provided scrubs.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system used: CPSI.
• Unit Size: 3 OR rooms and a Procedure Room.
• Staff-to-patient ratio: 1:1.
