• 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

40-Hour guarantee with no weekend or on-call requirements.

Job Description

The Cardiac Sonographer/Echocardiography Technologist collaborates closely with cardiologists to assess and treat cardiac diseases. This role is essential in performing diagnostic ultrasound testing in an accredited echocardiography lab, which serves outpatients, inpatients, and supports off-campus locations. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting m-mode, 2D, 3D, spectral Doppler, color Doppler, and tissue Doppler imaging.
• Executing strain imaging and bubble studies, along with contrast-enhanced transthoracic echocardiograms.
• Performing exercise and pharmacology stress echocardiograms.
• Supporting cardiologists during both 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiograms.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Cardiac Sonographer - RDCS or RCS (Required)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer (Required)
• Flexibility to work at various Heart and Vascular Institute locations as needed (Required)
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and EKG rhythms (Required)
• Experience using Electronic Medical Records (Required)
• Proficient in IV insertion for ultrasound imaging enhancement agents and bubble studies (Required)
• Graduate from an accredited echocardiography program (Associate's or Bachelor's Degree Required)
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC Required)
