Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our dynamic surgical team. This position offers a standard schedule of five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The selected candidate may need to stay late to complete specific surgical cases as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of surgical procedures, particularly in orthopedic and general surgery.
• Ensure a sterile environment and maintain proper instrument handling during operations.
• Support the surgical team by preparing operating rooms and managing surgical instruments.
• Demonstrate independence in total joint procedures and exhibit strong orthopedic surgery experience.
• Apply competency in general surgery cases including but not limited to:
• Endoscopy
• Colonoscopy
• Laparoscopic appendectomy
• Laparoscopic cholecystectomy
• Laparoscopic and open hernia repairs
• Laparoscopic and open bowel resections
• Total Knee replacements
• Total Shoulder surgeries
• Arthroscopy
• Fracture surgeries

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist through NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting).
• Strong experience in orthopedic surgery, with proficiency across all general surgery cases.
• Experience in Sterile Processing Department (SPD) is preferred.
• Must provide references illustrating relevant surgical experience.
• Local candidates are welcome to apply at the same rate as non-local candidates.

Contract Details

This is a 13-week contract position with the possibility of extension based on performance and operational needs.
