Shift Information
Day shift - 13-week contract with a scheduled 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation. Flexibility is required as various shift lengths and days may be assigned. There is no guarantee of hours or shift preference.
Minimum Years of Experience
2 years of experience required in a medical-surgical or higher level of care setting.
Certifications/Requirements
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
- Active State of HI license is required by the start of the assignment for travelers
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide medical-surgical level care for adult patients aged 18 and over. Responsibilities may include floating to surgical pediatrics or transitional care units as needed.

Unit Information
- Bed size: 50 beds in the medical unit
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1:5
Dress Code
Professional nursing attire is required. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory, and no specific scrub colors are enforced.
Training and Orientation
A department-specific training and orientation program will be included during the first week of orientation.
Holiday Coverage
Coverage during holiday assignments is required.
