Position Overview
The Certified Surgical Technician will play a vital role in the operating room by providing support during surgical procedures. This position involves a rotating schedule with shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, and 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM. The technician will not be required to be on call or work on holidays.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team by preparing the operating room for procedures.
- Ensure that all surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
- Provide direct support to surgeons during operations.
- Maintain a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff in the operating room.
- Adhere to all required safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Work Schedule
This position entails a 36-hour rotating schedule with no call or holiday shifts required.
