Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides holistic care to patients and their families. The focus is on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions as outlined in established standards and competencies specific to the assigned service area. The RN's scope of practice may encompass the care of patients across various age groups, including neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults throughout the life cycle.

The RN will execute the Standards of Nursing Practice, which includes:

• Assessment
• Nursing diagnosis
• Outcome identification
• Planning
• Implementation
• Evaluation

The RN is responsible for developing and revising the care plan, coordinating care among multidisciplinary teams, and delegating responsibilities to other care providers when appropriate. Active participation in shared accountability and decision-making regarding nursing practices is expected. The RN will also implement personal leadership skills to define, enhance, and improve nursing practice standards and the overall environment of care, while promoting exceptional patient care.

Shift Notes

• Days and Nights with a 36-Hour Guarantee
• Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd Weekend
• No On Call Requirements

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Med Surg experience
• Experience in Remote Telemetry
• Epic Experience
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Must be available to work some holidays

Additional Information

RNs may be required to float between units as needed. A temporary Minnesota nursing license will be accepted as long as applicants have applied for a permanent license and possess the temporary license at the time of application. Compliance with Minnesota Department of Human Services Net Study and fingerprinting is required for all patient-facing positions.

Clinicians must list relevant work history in their application, particularly any previous experience with local healthcare entities. All requests for time off should be submitted at the time of application, as they may not be honored after submission.

Dress Code

The dress code requires the use of royal blue scrubs.
