Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides holistic care to patients and their families, focusing on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions in accordance with established standards and competencies for the assigned service area. This position includes the care of patients across various age groups, from neonates to older adults, throughout the life cycle.

The RN is responsible for executing the Standards of Nursing Practice, which encompasses:

• Assessment
• Nursing diagnosis
• Outcome identification
• Planning
• Implementation
• Evaluation

The RN develops and revises individual patient care plans, coordinates care among various disciplines, and delegates tasks to other care providers as needed. Active participation in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices is expected. The RN will also implement leadership qualities and skills to define, execute, and enhance practice standards and the care environment, ensuring exemplary patient care.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Med Surg experience.
• Travel experience.
• Medical and Surgical Trauma experience.
• Epic experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC).
• Trauma Level I experience.
• Experience working with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
• Availability to work some holidays.

Requirements

Clinicians must hold an active Minnesota nursing license. A temporary nursing license will be accepted if an application for a permanent license has been submitted and a temporary license is held at the time of application.

Registered Nurses may be required to float between different units as needed.

• Nonbillable hours: 4 hours.
• Compliant with Minnesota Department of Human Services Net Study & fingerprinting requirements for all patient-facing positions.
• All requests for time off must be documented at the time of application; late requests may not be accommodated.

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs are required for this position.
