Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our dedicated team in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This unit specializes in managing patients with multi-system failure and various co-morbid conditions, including sepsis, pneumonia, gastrointestinal bleeding, and organ failure.
Unit Information
The MICU features a newly opened 28-bed facility across two units: MICU3 with 16 beds and MICU4 with 12 beds. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2, ensuring optimal care for our patients.
Shifts and Schedule
- Night shifts: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
- Options for 36 or 48 hours per week
- 13-week assignment, requiring work every other weekend and holiday
- Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays
- Two days off can be approved each week; back-to-back weekends off cannot be accommodated
Qualifications
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required
- Level 1 experience is required
- Epic experience is mandatory
- Virginia license pending applicants may submit their applications
- Must adhere to the floating policy of the organization
