Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a Long Term Care setting. This role requires previous travel experience and active Alaska nursing licensure at the time of application.

Key Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 4x12 Variable (Days or Nights based on facility needs)
• Duration: 26 or 13-week assignment, based on your preference
• Staffing Ratios: 1:20
• Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in Long Term Care (LTC)
• Certifications Required: BLS certification
• Food Worker Certification: Alaska Food Worker Certification will be obtained during orientation (a one-time fee may apply)

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Long Term Care environment.
• Accurately assess and monitor patient conditions and report significant changes to appropriate health professionals.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic charting system.
• Participate in staff training and orientation as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Active Alaska LVN/LPN license required upon application.
• Previous travel experience is essential.
• Availability to work at least two of the three major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s) is preferred.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application.
• The clinician may be required to float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs.

Additional Information:

• Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours every two weeks, with the possibility of being called off for one 12-hour shift per two weeks.
• Transportation: Facility will arrange shuttle transportation to and from Anchorage at the start and end of the assignment, with local shuttle services available in Seward.
