Description

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a long-term care assignment. This position requires previous travel experience and a valid Alaska nursing license to be held by the candidate upon application.

Position Details

Start Date: ASAP
Shift: 4x12 Variable (Days or Nights, dependent on facility needs)
Duration: Traveler's choice of 13 or 26 weeks
Patient Ratios: 1:20
Minimum Experience Required: 1 year in LTC
BLS Certification Required: Yes
Food Worker Certification: Required upon orientation (on-site certification available)

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide professional nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, adhering to the following responsibilities:

Administer medications and treatments as per the prescribed protocols
Monitor resident health and provide updates to the healthcare team
Assist with daily living activities and ensure the comfort and well-being of residents
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the facility's charting system

Additional Information

Floating: Clinicians may float within their scope to meet facility needs
Local Candidates: Not accepted; candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Time Off: No more than 2 weeks of requested time off will be considered for a 26-week contract, with the expectation to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s)
Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2-week period, with the possibility of being called off for one 12-hour shift
Transportation: Free shuttle transportation will be provided to and from Anchorage at the beginning and end of the contract
