Job Description

Under general supervision, the Certified Surgical Technologist works closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel to provide scrub support during surgical procedures. This role involves handling instruments, supplies, and equipment while ensuring the safety and care of patients within the operating room (OR) suite.

Schedule and Shifts

• Shift hours: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM
• No weekends, on-call, or holiday shifts required
• 40 hours guaranteed per week

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of the operating room and surgical instruments.
• Provide intraoperative care to surgical patients.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures.
• Adhere to safety protocols and standards within the OR.
• Maintain a sterile environment and manage surgical supplies effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Active certification from NBSTSA or NCCT for at least 2 years.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proof of COVID vaccination required; declinations not accepted.
• Flu vaccination required; declinations not accepted.
• Must be flexible with scheduling to meet facility needs.
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
