We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Stepdown Registered Nurse to provide specialized care to patients aged up to 25 years. This nursing role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts

This position offers rotating shifts, including:

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Shifts may vary based on the operational needs of the facility, and we will strive to honor preferred shift requests when possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and compassionate care to pediatric patients in the stepdown unit.
• Monitor and manage patients with epilepsy and related disorders.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, including inotropes and EKGs.
• Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Be prepared to work at least every other holiday as part of team responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in the Pediatric specialty.
• Ohio Registered Nurse license or valid compact state license is required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from AHA or American Red Cross.
• Experience with EKG monitoring and inotropic medications is essential.
• NIHHS certification is preferred.
• Successful completion of an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation is required.
