Unit Details

The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical Unit (60250), specifically within the Medical Admission and Cardiac Observation Unit.

Schedule

• Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekend: Every Other
• Call: None

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience: 1 year (unit accepts first-time travelers)

AYA Offer

Once a candidate has signed and confirmed their profile, the manager has 48 hours to review the submission and determine if the unit, schedule, and expertise are a suitable fit. An offer through AYA is contingent on meeting clinical passes within the guidelines and adherence to specific facility requirements.

RTO

The maximum time for Return to Onboarding (RTO) is 7 days.

Holidays

Travelers are expected to work as follows during major holidays that fall within their assignment period:

• If one major holiday occurs, the traveler is expected to work it.
• If two major holidays occur, the traveler is required to work both.
• If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two of them.

The major holidays are:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Compliance

Full compliance is required to begin the assignment on time. If compliance is not achieved in a timely manner, the start date may be pushed back by 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Local Travelers

Local travelers are accepted and will receive the same rate as those traveling from other locations.

Orientation

The number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by the length of the contract (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment, 10 hours for a 10-week assignment).
