Position Overview

Seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Level I Trauma environment and possess a strong commitment to patient care and respiratory therapy best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and management for patients, including vent management, airway management, and medication administration.
• Perform routine evaluations such as ABGs and O2 therapies to monitor patient progress.
• Assist in trauma and emergency situations, ensuring optimal care delivery.
• Maintain high standards of clinical excellence during interactions with patients and healthcare teams.
• Float to general pediatrics as needed by the unit.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid NM license.
• Current certifications: RRT, BLS, and ACLS.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in trauma, ER, adult ICU, adult floor therapies, and pulmonary care is required.
• No RQI certifications are needed.

Work Schedule

• Night shifts: 4x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:30).
• Weekend requirements: No more than 3 weekends in a 4-week schedule period.
• Guarantee of 36 hours per week; facility allowed to cancel shifts up to 3 times within a 13-week assignment.

Additional Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory; religious and medical exemptions will be considered with proper documentation.
• Applicants must be willing to float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs.
• Pursuant to the facility policy, no local candidates within a 100-mile radius will be accepted.
• RTO restrictions apply; any time off greater than 7 days requires prior approval.

Contract Information

• New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks.
• A 6-month break is required for travelers after completing 4 consecutive assignments or after one year of employment.
• Overtime is applicable after 48 hours of work for contracts signed on or after specified date.
