We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. This position is critical in delivering high-quality respiratory care in a fast-paced environment.

Position Details

• Average Daily Census: 6-10 vents
• Shifts: Day shift, 4x12 hours (06:00 - 18:30)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week with the potential for call-offs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to patients, including trauma, ER, adult ICU, and adult floor therapies.
• Manage airway procedures and administer medications as per protocols.
• Effectively utilize various respiratory therapy equipment including nebulizers, BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilators.
• Conduct ABG analysis, pulmonary toileting, and oxygen therapies.
• Ensure floating to general pediatrics is performed as needed by the unit.

Qualifications

• Education: Current License to practice as an RRT in New Mexico
• Certification Requirements:
• RRT certification
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a clinical setting, with Level I Trauma experience preferred.
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• COVID-19 Vaccination: Required; exemptions allowed with appropriate documentation.

Scheduling Requirements

• Mandatory work on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day for holiday pay.
• Weekend requirement: No more than 3 weekends within a 4-week schedule period.
• Requests for time off exceeding 7 days require approval.
