We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Tallahassee, FL. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The position works across inpatient units including two 10-bed ICUs and emergency care areas, using a variety of ventilators and respiratory devices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current state Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in good standing.
• Minimum one year experience as an RRT.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS and NRP certifications required.
• Experience with mechanical ventilator management, BiPAP, aerosol treatments, and bedside ABG analyzers.
• Experience working in critical care and emergency care settings preferred.
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, and Phillips V60.
• Previous experience rotating through multiple inpatient units and ICUs.
• Demonstrated competence with intubation support, arterial line insertion assistance, and bedside bronchoscopy assistance.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Scheduling requirements: minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends.
• Floating policy: will rotate throughout all inpatient units.
• Documentation system: Meditech.
• Unit equipment: various ventilators, BiPAPs, Vapotherm, Phillips V60, Puritan Bennett 980, Siemens EPOC bedside ABG analyzers.
