Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Float daily between med/surg, outpatient, and emergency department
• Work alongside another RN with minimum staffing of 2 RNs per shift, with either a PCT or LPN as a third person
• Care for med/surg, outpatient, and emergency department patients in a 10-room facility averaging close to 4 patients per day
• Nurse to patient ratio averages 1:2 or 1:3, not to exceed 1:6
• Perform typical RN procedures including IV starts and foley catheter insertions
• Utilize equipment including EPIC, Philips central monitor/telemetry, and Lifepak 15
• Dress code: Navy scrubs
• Preferred ability to cover the ER as charge nurse
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Minimum 2 years of med/surg experience required
• Critical Access Hospital experience preferred
• EPIC experience preferred
• Active Compact or SD State License required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC

Facility:

This is a Critical Access Hospital operating with a 10-room patient care facility, providing acute care services across med/surg, outpatient, and emergency department settings. The facility maintains a collaborative staffing model with a minimum of two RNs on shift at all times, supported by PCTs or LPNs. The organization offers a tailored orientation program for travelers, typically up to one week, ensuring exposure to both day and night shift operations.
