Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts on a rotating day and night schedule
• Department utilizes self-scheduling 6 weeks at a time
• Willingness to work 3 weekends or a holiday during the 6-week schedule may be required to meet patient care needs
• Option to pick up extra shifts and schedule up to 4 shifts per week, however the fourth shift may be subject to cancellation based on unit census
• Care for babies in the Level II Nursery and attend all deliveries and C-sections
• Minimal ventilator management - babies requiring ventilator support beyond 24 hours will be transferred to a larger facility
• If no babies are in the Level II Nursery, RN will care for babies in the general nursery
• Level II Nursery is a 5-bed unit and general nursery is 15 beds, all contained within the same area
• Minimum of 1 year of strong Level III NICU experience required
• Couplet care competency or willingness to learn basic mom/baby skills is desired
• Wyoming Registered Nurse license required prior to start; candidates without WY license may be considered if eligible for a temporary license with a clear background screen
• Required certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and BLS (American Heart Association)
• STABLE certification is preferred
• Department utilizes Meditech for physician orders and GE Centricity for charting
• Scrubs are provided by the department

This acute care facility operates a Level III trauma center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services to the surrounding community. The facility includes a dedicated neonatal care unit with both Level II Nursery and general nursery capabilities, supporting the needs of newborns and their families.
