Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg | Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (shift noted as 1845-0715)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Typically 2-3 holidays required per assignment
• Low census on-call requirement
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Days 1:5-6, Nights 1:6
• 90-bed unit with double occupancy beds
• 2 years of RN experience required with 1 year of specialty experience
• Trauma Level I/II recent hospital experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required and must be recent
• Required certifications: BLS; ACLS preferred
• Commonly treat patients with pneumonia, COPD, radiation, AKI, occasional lap chole, and appendectomy cases
• Responsible for managing non-titrated Heparin and Lasix drips
• Work with RT equipment including BiPAP and stable trach
• Required to sign off telemetry strips printed by the dedicated monitor tech and verify rhythm interpretations
• Patient care techs on unit with a ratio of 8-12 patients per PCA
• Floating requirements include MedSurg, stable low acuity in ICU, RDU, and Foothills clinic RDU
• Orientation includes one NEO, one clinical education/Epic day, and one day on the floor
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• No blocked scheduling requests
• No more than 5 days of RTO
• No 48-hour guarantees
• BSN not required
