Registered Nurse (RN) - Postpartum

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Postpartum care to provide high-quality care to mothers and their newborns. This position requires a commitment to excellence in clinical practice and patient advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to postpartum patients.
• Assist in assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in accordance with established protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Support breastfeeding and provide education on newborn care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in electronic medical records.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of postpartum nursing experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and IV certification.
• Demonstrated ability to start IVs and manage labor and delivery situations.
• Proficient in EPIC electronic medical record systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel nursing experience is a plus.

Shift Information

This position includes night shifts comprising 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, typically from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
