Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a night shift schedule. This position will require a commitment to providing exceptional care within a fast-paced critical care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Neuro ICU with a focus on comprehensive assessment and individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for changes in condition and response to treatment.
• Manage and assist with various medical equipment, including ventilators and intracranial pressure monitoring devices.
• Start intravenous (IV) lines and provide telemetry monitoring for patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and positive outcomes.
• Float to other units of equivalent or lower acuity as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting, with a focus on Neuro ICU preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience is advantageous.
• Current certification in BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA Certifications only).
• Proficient in starting IVs, telemetry, and using ventilators.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is required.

Schedule

This is a full-time position offering a 36-hour work week, with night shifts scheduled as three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Refund Information

Prorated refunds may be available for unused future months on annual permits. Cancellation must occur by 6:30 PM on the last business day of the month to avoid the next charge. Refund checks may take 3–5 weeks to process.
