Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support the MS/Tele unit, which provides care for a range of medical and surgical diagnoses, including acute care surgery and ortho/trauma overflow patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical/surgical telemetry setting.
• Monitor telemetry data and interpret dysrhythmias, managing as needed.
• Participate in Rapid Response and Code teams, ensuring timely intervention for patients in critical condition.
• Administer IV insulin protocols and manage feeding tubes effectively.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal outcomes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with prior travel nursing experience required.
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS.
• Strong skills in telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and IV insulin protocols.
• Ability to float to other units as required.
• Willingness to assist with weekend and night shifts.

Work Schedule

• Day shifts: 3x12-hour (07:00 - 19:30).
• Night shifts: 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30).

Weekend Requirement

Weekend shifts are required for night shift staff, specifically on Friday and Saturday nights. Sundays do not count as weekend shifts.

Attendance Policy

Employees are allowed up to 2 sick calls per contract. The third sick call may result in contract termination.

Parking Information

Agency staff can purchase permits for parking options, which offer various access to designated garages and lots. Options include monthly permits for the medical center garage and annual permits for other parking facilities.
