Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position focuses on delivering high-quality patient care within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various chemotherapy and cancer-related treatments, along with the required certifications and expertise in oncology nursing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients, including those receiving chemotherapy and biotherapy.
- Administer treatments and medications as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor patient progress, evaluate responses to therapy, and communicate changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Assist in patient education regarding treatment plans, side effects, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Float to other units as necessary to meet staffing needs and based on skill set.
Shift and Schedule
- Night shifts: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
- Every other weekend required
- Block scheduling required
- 48 hours approved
Qualifications
- Current RN license and ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification required.
- Experience with Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and CAR-T therapy patients preferred.
- Strong background in various chemotherapy agents and cancer treatment modalities.
- Ability to effectively float to other units based on patient care needs.

- Candidate must have a vehicle for this assignment.
- Parking costs are covered with no fees.
- Charting will be done using the Epic electronic health record system.
- Travelers may receive additional incentives and accommodations when floating to designated locations.
