As a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, the Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes professional and clinical expertise to provide and manage patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• 0700 start time
• Every third weekend required
• Available shifts: 36 or 48 hours per week

Job Responsibilities

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will:

• Conduct thorough assessments and interviews to determine patient needs.
• Implement care plans and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor and document patient responses and changes in condition using EMR (EPIC).
• Adhere to established protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local locations as needed.

Certification and Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role required.
• Active certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Skills Checklist specific to Emergency Room nursing must be completed.
• Supervisory Reference Form completed within the last two years required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Orientation and Holiday Work Requirements

• Orientation dates: 10/26, 11/9
• Requires working 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day).
• Limit of 1 day off request between 11/25-11/29 and 12/23-12/27 for all travelers.
