Registered Nurse (RN) - First Assist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a First Assist. This role requires strong surgical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Information

• 40-hour guarantee per week
• Weekend and holiday coverage may be required
• On-call duties are assigned by rotation

Role Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures as a First Assist nurse
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate records and patient documentation
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current nursing experience
• BSN degree required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Active Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred
• Must have a valid Massachusetts RN license
• A current skills checklist pertaining to Operating Room and First Assist must be provided
• One signed supervisory reference from the past two years of employment is required

Additional Requirements

• Travelers must provide their permanent address within the profile
• Personal vehicle is required for this position
• All requested time off (RTO) must be noted at the time of submission, with a maximum of 5 days accepted
• Availability for holiday shifts, including major holidays and weekends, is required

Orientation

Completion of an 8-hour non-billable orientation is required before the start of the assignment.
