Description
ER RN
Overview
- 13-week contract
- Location: Peoria, Illinois
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
Required Qualifications
- Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS
- ACLS
- ENPC or PALS
- TNCC or TNS
- Negative drug screen for all panels
- Requested time off must be submitted
- Clinician’s middle initial and last four digits of SSN must be provided for submission
Preferred
- 2 years of nursing experience
- 1 prior travel assignment
- SANE RN experience
- Experience working in a teaching hospital with residents
Unit Details
- Emergency Department
- Level 1 trauma center
- 65 beds, all private
- 2 trauma bays
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3-5, depending on acuity and department needs
Clinical Setting
- Cares for a wide range of patients from newborns to elderly
- Common cases include critically ill patients, cardiac arrest, strokes, heart attacks, and trauma
- Travelers may care for stabilized trauma patients after transfer out of the trauma bay
Schedule and Work Expectations
- Day, mid, and night shift start times are listed, but this opening is for nights
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays are required every other holiday or based on department needs
- No call requirement
- Travelers do not self-schedule
- Floating is rare and, if needed, would be as a help-all on other units
Additional Notes
- 12 hours of non-billable orientation
- Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
- Local rate adjustment applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles
- Drug-free campus policy applies
