Description
Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray
Location: Pittsfield, MA Employment Type: Temporary Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 7 hours per day Orientation: 8 hours, non-billable
Role Overview
Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. Apply appropriate skills to facilitate diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by the Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager, and may be responsible for supervision or instruction of department personnel as directed.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing proper patient care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures
- Practicing infection control and body substance isolation in compliance with departmental policies and OSHA standards
- Maintaining patient confidentiality
- Operating and troubleshooting PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems and CR, DR, and PACS applications
- Attending annual mandatory education (blood borne pathogens, infection control, body substance isolation) and maintaining department competencies
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Massachusetts
- Radiology Technologist with 2 years of experience
- Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (R) certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
- Meditech Expanse experience
Scheduling and Time Off
- Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be accepted; less is preferred
- All RTO and scheduling requests, along with the traveler's perm address and any other placement, must be included in the profile at submission
- Requests made after upload, during interview, or after offer will not be approved and may result in a rescinded offer
- Travelers must have voicemail set up on their phones so the facility can reach them
- Not available to travelers who would work concurrently with another perm placement or travel assignment

- Travelers who live within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
