Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery – South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: South Lake Tahoe, California

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 guaranteed hours per week. This is a 91-day travel assignment ending January 23, 2027.

Highlights:

• Work in a beautiful mountain community at nearly 6,200 feet above sea level in a Level III Trauma Center
• 8-bed unit with approximately 300 births per year; no deliveries before 35 weeks
• Full-spectrum perinatal nursing: triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery care with training provided in nursery and lactation skills
• Provide independent care during nights and weekends with no physician or anesthesia in-house; attend cesarean sections and recover both mother and baby
• Care for high-risk patients including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and twin pregnancies
• Ideal for self-starters who are adaptable, open to coaching, and have significant neonatal resuscitation experience

Requirements:

• Current California RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required; 5+ years preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Current Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (NCC or AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced course accepted)
• STABLE certification preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Strong neonatal resuscitation skills and ability to work independently
• Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation
