Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery – South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: South Lake Tahoe, California

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 guaranteed hours per week. This is a 91-day travel assignment ending January 9, 2027.

Highlights:

• Work in a beautiful mountain community at nearly 6,200 feet above sea level on the south shore of Lake Tahoe
• 8-bed unit with approximately 300 births per year; no deliveries before 35 weeks gestation
• Full-scope perinatal nursing: triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery care with training provided in lactation and nursery skills
• Care for high-risk patients including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and twin pregnancies
• Independent practice environment with 3 RNs always staffed; RN provides autonomous care during nights and weekends
• Opportunity to attend cesarean sections and provide recovery care for both mother and baby

Requirements:

• Current California RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required; 5+ years preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (NCC or AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced course accepted)
• STABLE certification preferred
• Significant neonatal resuscitation experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation
