Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist, Acute Care – Mission Viejo, CA 92691

Start Date: December 1, 2026

Location: Mission Viejo, California

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts). Three weekend shifts required per six-week period (Saturday or Sunday). Travelers are unlikely to work holidays but may be expected to work days surrounding major holidays.

• Treat a well-rounded patient mix including stroke, multiple trauma, cardiac, orthopedic, open heart, oncology, neurology, spine, and total joint patients

• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate acute care and trauma experience

Requirements:

• Active California Physical Therapy license required (may submit with license pending and proof of submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care inpatient experience required (non-negotiable)
• Trauma Level II experience highly preferred; candidates without trauma experience must demonstrate comfort working independently in a fast-paced trauma environment
• ICU experience highly preferred
• Experience with diverse patient populations including sepsis, open heart, stroke, and orthopedic cases
• Proficiency with assessment, functional activities, and treating both acute and chronic disorders
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
