Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, NICU – Apple Valley, CA 92307

Start Date: December 1, 2026

Location: Apple Valley, California

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:30). Weekend coverage required, averaging every other weekend, though may exceed to accommodate unit needs. Contract duration 13-26 weeks available.

• Level III NICU with 14 beds serving approximately 190 births per month
• Charge RN opportunity with shift differential added after shifts worked

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year in NICU specialty
• Level III NICU experience required (hard stop requirement)
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP Advanced (or NRP with willingness to obtain Advanced before start), PALS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Experience with high-risk deliveries, blood product administration, central lines, ventilator management, and NICU-specific skills including UAC/UVC, PICC line management, and titration of vasopressors
• May float to Mother/Baby unit for babies; full float if couplet experience available
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
