Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Hood River, OR 97031

Start Date: November 23, 2026

Location: Hood River, Oregon

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), primarily day shifts with occasional night coverage. Every other weekend required. 13-week assignment through February 22, 2027. Patient ratios follow AWHONN standards: 1:1 active labor, 1:3 postpartum.

Highlights:

• Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit in a 25-bed Critical Access/Level III Trauma Center
• Daily census of 2-5 patients with low-risk perinatal care and Level 1 Nursery
• First-time travelers welcome; Epic charting system in use
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Scrubs provided; no parking fees
• Floating may be required to meet unit needs and to regional facilities based on operational requirements

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year LDRP experience required; 2 years preferred
• Current certifications: BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in epidural anesthesia, magnesium sulfate therapy, NST, Pitocin administration, external fetal monitoring, sterile vaginal exams, and triage of obstetrical patients
• Must have reliable transportation for this assignment
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
