Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. 8-week contract with no extensions available.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month and 4 operating rooms
• Serve diverse patient populations including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• Function as Baby Nurse during deliveries, providing comprehensive newborn care including assessments, vitamin K injections, and eye prophylaxis
• Circulate for cesarean sections in fast-paced surgical environment
• 31-bed unit with average daily census of 15 patients; schedule posted every 6 weeks
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome at same rate

Requirements:

• Active Washington state RN license or valid Compact license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required; must be comfortable in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic electronic charting system experience required (hard stop)
• Electronic fetal monitoring experience required
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections and provide comprehensive newborn care (hard stop requirements)
• Experience with magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, and heparin administration
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities for Mother/Baby care
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
