Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Eureka, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM). Patient ratio of 1:4. 40 hours of orientation provided. Assignment duration of 182 days (approximately 6 months).

• Structured orientation program to ensure successful transition to the unit

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; at least 1 year of recent PCU, stepdown, or ICU experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, central line care, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with IV starts and maintenance, PICC line management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
• Must have worked in the discipline within the last 6 months with current work references
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Flexibility to float to sister facilities as needed
