Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Surgical Services – South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: South Lake Tahoe, California – nestled on the south shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe at nearly 6,200 feet above sea level

Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, 40 guaranteed hours per week. This is a 91-day travel assignment ending February 13, 2027.

Highlights:

• Work in a small, close-knit surgical department with 7 total staff members
• Provide care in a community-focused Level III Trauma Center serving both residents and visitors to Lake Tahoe
• Gain hands-on experience with manual processing and instrumentation in a setting that values clinical expertise
• Deliver patient-centered perioperative care across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric populations
• Enjoy the natural beauty and recreational opportunities of the Lake Tahoe region

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current California and Nevada RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Previous acute care experience required; OR experience highly preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification by the American Heart Association (BLS for the Healthcare Provider)
• ACLS certification required; PALS certification preferred
• Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) preferred
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation and ability to work with hand-written documentation
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
