Unit: CVOR
Patient ratio: 1:1
Staffing: 4 RNs and 4 surgical technologists on day shift; no night shift
Floating: Main OR
On-call: Average 4–5 days per month and 1 weekend per month

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS
BLS
CVOR experience within the last year
1 year of CVOR experience
Open heart surgery experience
Vascular surgery experience
Operating room experience

Preferred Experience

Open heart and/or vascular experience

Procedures

CABG
Valve replacement
Carotid endarterectomy
ECMO
Angiogram
Fistulagram
Fistula creation
Lower extremity bypass

Work Environment

Fast-paced environment
Scrubs provided by the unit
