Medical Surgical RN
Location
- Albuquerque, New Mexico
Schedule
- Day shift
- 4x12 hours
- 7:00 to 19:30
- 36- or 48-hour option
- Weekends required
- Float required
Contract
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- 1 year of Med Surg experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, RQI, or American Safety and Health Institute
- Accepts first-time travelers
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
Compliance / Onboarding
- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify attestation or requirement, depending on candidate type
- 7-year background check
- Education verification
- Fingerprinting completed onsite during orientation for New Mexico placements
- Primary source state license verification
- NURSYS verification
- Clear headshot for badge
- Signed fingerprint consent form
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit test within 1 year of start
- Tdap within 10 years of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire required if prior TB results are positive
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- Employment application or resume
- Unit-specific skills checklist
- 7-year work history verification
Notes
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, chemotherapy, TNCC, assaultive behavior, CPI, NIH stroke certification, and medication/pharmacology competency are listed as applicable only, not universally required.
