Critical Care RN
Assignment Overview
- Travel assignment for 16-26 weeks
- 12H Night shift, 36 hours per week
- ICU Float Pool role
- Primarily based in Medical ICU with overflow neuro
- Floating required to units within the central ICU pool, including ED Boarders and possible surge areas
- Required to float to SICU, Miller 3, and Miller 4
- Travelers must work 2 of these 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Years Day
Required Qualifications
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- NIHSS, required prior to start
- Prior travel experience required
- 2 years of experience
- Large teaching facility experience with 500+ beds
- Experience with hemodynamic devices
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years
Preferred Qualifications
- CCRN
Clinical Experience / Patient Population
- Experience with multi-system disease
- Experience with CRRT, IABP, ECMO, covid, vents, and multiple drips
- Typical patient population includes post cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma-level 1, general surgery, neurosurgery, and overflow MICU
Scheduling / Work Expectations
- Must be flexible with scheduling
- Minimum of every other weekend, or schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
- No block schedules
Additional Notes
- Any solid color scrubs
- Public transportation is not accessible; reliable transportation is strongly recommended
- Personal vehicle or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
- Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November through April
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- All work history information must be complete to submit
- Bi-weekly orientations on Monday
