Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Patient Population / Clinical Setting
- ED patients including clinic-type patients, strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, and behavioral health
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of experience in the Emergency Department
- Emergency Department experience within the last year
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma or Level 2 Trauma patients
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- TNCC
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty
Orientation / Onboarding
- New hires attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
- New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member
- Initial onboarding includes organizational entry competency validation and an Emergency Department-specific competency validation
- Newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or other specific orientation
- Annual competency verification is required
