ICU RN

Overview

Travel assignment in Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Unit: ICU
Main Campus
25-bed unit
Patient ratio: 2:1
36 hours per week
13-week contract

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Hampshire
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Strong Telemetry Skills
Experience titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications
Chest tube experience

Preferred

Open Heart experience
Temporary pacing
Swan-Ganz Catheter experience

Unit Details

No LNAs or PCTs
Around the clock mid-levels, Trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapist
PT/OT available during day shift
Floating is on a rotation basis, with travelers floating first
12 shifts per month, including 4 weekend shifts per month
Schedule is completed by department leadership around RTO
Meditech Expanse documentation system

Procedures Performed on Unit

Intubation
Central line and arterial line placement
Chest tube placement
