SLP Acute Care Hospital
Assignment Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Orange, California
- 13-week contract
- Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00–17:30
- 40 hours per week
- Based in an acute care hospital setting
Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in California
- Speech Language Pathologist (1 year of experience)
- Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
- Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application must include at least the last 5 years of employment
- Skills checklist required for the applicable unit
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Negative TB or chest X-ray documentation within 12 months of start
- Drug screen within 12 months of start
- Tdap within 10 years, or declination
- Rubeola, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella documentation or declination as specified in the source
- COVID vaccination record or declination is expected per source guidance
- Fit mask clearance required for travel starts
- RespSafety clearance required for travel starts
- Background check and education verification required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- State license verification required as applicable
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- CHEMO - Chemotherapy
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
- EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
- IV Certification
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute
- Competency exam required as applicable by profession/specialty
