OB RN - Variable Shift (L&D/PP)
Overview
- Location: Hilo, Hawaii
- Employment Type: Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Hawaii by start of assignment. Travelers without an active Hawaii license must apply upon acceptance of offer.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Labor and Delivery experience (2 years)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Responsibilities
- Care for laboring mothers and assist with delivery
- Provide immediate care of the newborn and postdelivery care for mothers
- Operate fetal monitoring system
Schedule
- Variable day and night shifts, 12-hour shifts (36 hours weekly) beginning after the first week of orientation
- Scheduled 12 hours of call at least once per month
- No guarantee of hours or shift preference
Unit Details
- L&D: 8 labor beds
- Postpartum: 18 beds
Start Logistics
- Must arrive the Thursday before start to attend an employee health appointment on Friday. Do not accept the start date offered if you cannot arrive on time.
