RN - Emergency Dept

Location: Hendersonville, Tennessee Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36

Unit Details

Unit Name: ER
Number of Beds: 20
Patient Ratio: 4:1
Unit Staffing: Unit secretary (US) and paramedic receiving
Equipment: Level Three Trauma, with all necessary equipment
Scheduling: Every other weekend (Q other weekend)
Floating: No floating

Responsibilities and Procedures

Advanced skills needed: Level Three Trauma
Procedures performed on unit: Chest tubes, central lines, etc.
Patient experience priority: Good bedside manner

Requirements

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
Emergency Department experience within the last year
Experience with central line management
Experience with chest tubes
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Crisis Prevention Institute Training (CPI)
