NICU RN
Location: Apple Valley, California Employment type: Travel/Contract Start: ASAP Contract length: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (18:00 to 06:30), 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week Local radius: 50 miles
Unit and Facility
- NICU Level III, with about 190 births per month
- Acute care hospital with 212 staffed beds
- RN scrub color: navy blue
- Free parking
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care) experience: 1 year, with experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) current and issued by AAP, AHA, or the Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
Schedule and Expectations
- Weekends every other week, which may increase to meet unit needs
- Not on call
- Block schedule not accommodated
- Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered.
- All requested time off must be included at submission. Approval depends on facility needs.
- Guaranteed hours: The facility may cancel 1 shift per 2 weeks.
- Float scope: May float to MB for babies. May float fully if the candidate has couplet experience.
- May be required to float to another facility in the system within a reasonable distance.
