RN - PCU
Location: Hickory, North Carolina Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Openings: 1
Unit and Schedule
- Unit: Neuro Progressive Care Unit, 5th floor
- Unit Size: 20 beds, 5:1 patient ratio
- Shift: 7p-7a
- Call Requirement: No
- Specialty: PCU, Neuro Medical Strokes, Neuro-ortho surgeries, overflow telemetry and medical patients
- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
- Common Diagnoses/Treatment: Stable post-stroke patients, stable neuro surgery patients, telemetry patients, medical patients
- Float Requirements: Medical, Telemetry
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 2 years of Neuro PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
Additional Information
- Orientation: Travelers must start on either November 16 or December 7, 2026.
- Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel placement.
