RN - Telemetry

Location: Conroe, Texas Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36

Unit Details

Unit: 1 North (Floor 1N)
Beds: 32
Staff: 34
Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, 3 techs
Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, 2-3 techs
Patient Ratios: 1:6 for nurses, 1:10-15 for techs
EMR: Expanse
Floating: Any needed within skill set

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Med Surg / Telemetry experience of at least 1 year, with experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Meditech

Typical Procedures

Lab draws, IV insertions, Foley insertions
Administering IV fluids and medications such as antibiotics
Preparing patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures

Team player with an understanding of the patient experience

Schedule and Expectations

Attend daily huddle at 0645/1845, bedside shift report, and complete required daily charting
4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
